Re: Time for a new order ?

I'm not entirely sure how important the captaincy is and I believe Noble has plenty of good performances left in him, he's suffering a bit at the moment because the club and the team is on a bit of a downer. That being said I believe a new dynamic central midfielder is almost as important as a stri...

Re: Time for a new order ?

If we dispense with Noble's services as captain, or if we drop him, I would give the job to Obiang. Trust me, 3 or 4 years down the line, maybe sooner, he'll be on Barcelona's radar as the replacement for Sergio Busquets. Tbf Whiskey, after that City game I'd reckon Nordveit could be a viable repla...

Re: Goalkeepers

I think Adrian has saved us on many more occasions than he has cost us goals. Agreed his mistake on Saturday was schoolboy stuff but I'd still prefer him to be between the sticks than Randolph. Randolph is a decent back up but there's a reason why, at 29, he's been schlepping around the lower reache...

Re: Time for a new order ?

A follow-on from my post about who will replace Payet. Fabian Delph captained both Leeds and Villa. He has also captained City in a couple of friendlies. He leads by example and is exactly what we need. We should make it a priority. I used to be captain of my school team and later I led out the Dis...

Re: Carroll to China in January

11 games into the season and still no sign of him!!! He will take another 2 games to get match fit when he returns. Not helping the cause much is he. Given his injury record id say his agent was Merlin after getting him a 6 year contract at 90 Grand a week. 2 games to get match fit and a very real ...

Re: A Bit of Perspective

Why should we be up there with the top teams? We have no divine right to be standing alongside the big boys. That privilege has to be earned, as it was last season. But look at what the big boys did in the summer. They strengthened their squads. We fannied around. For the first time in ages we finis...

Defoe wouldn't cost anywhere near £8 million mate. I think we should go for him in January tbh.

Re: How far can a West Ham manager go?

Agree Mitch. They're happy to sit back, spend the bare minimum, knowing full well that our support for our club will always be there and thus the money will keep rolling in. Business is business as far as they're concerned. Thats a bit harsh. They have continually broken our transfer record after a...

Re: A Bit of Perspective

We should have been up there with the top teams the problem is we did not get the striker we were promised but sadly poor imitations. We need Carroll back and fast imp. Why should we be up there with the top teams? We have no divine right to be standing alongside the big boys. That privilege has to...
