We only have one player in this team with huge bollocks and he ripped a Hammy in a poxey cup game. Yarma, Anderson, Fornals, Lanzini all are far too easy off the ball. Thats the problem. How many games do we witness us in their half then 2 or 3 passes later they are putting a cross in on bearing down on our 2 central defenders. Its obvious Pellegrini does not know how to shut teams out. Well thats ok if you are managing real Madrid or Man City and putting in 3 or 4 goals but for us lol its suicidal.
Time to play 3 central defenders and we are beautifully set up for that. Oggy, Diop and Balbuena with Masuaku and Freddy as wing backs.. Only then can you have Rice sitting in front of that back 4 with one of the central defenders coming away from the line when needed marking a runner. That allows us to play Whilshire, Lanzini, Anderson and Haller. Sorry Yarmar you are not getting back in the team until we climb the table. Right now its about keeping a clean sheet.

Storm clouds forming for MP.
And what does that tell you?! pellegrinni has been sussed as a one trick pony. As i said in a previous post, he was (was being the operative word) good at what he does but he is so poor at adapting. He looks for different solutions to play the same style and its not working. Players are being criticized for their lack of application, and to a point maybe warranted, but to ask a donkey, to phrase a term, to be a race horse is down to him. Put players in their most proficient area, the side they play strongest from, dont dilute the side by watering down their abilities.

Well you can kiss european football on the arse goodbye, we are having our normal season just in a different order.

Dont think MP has ever played with a back 3 , so no chance of that happening . As for having Wingbacks and a midfield 3 doubt it will work with Lanzini and Wilshere alongside Rice , we need an out and out box to box player with energy , bollocks and play making skills which neither of them are . Think looking out recent games we also need a leader or to on the pitch , because I haven't seen one recently .

LOL who is the out and out box mid player? Where is he? Unfortunately we can only use what we have and if Pellegrini doesnt utilize this squad accordingly then he is going Senile
It doesn,t matter what he used to do at Real Madrid and City. He as to get the best from " This " squad and playing 2 wingers with a weak midfield is going to cause us big trouble. Especially now teams know how to suffocate us and hit us at will.
Do you know how many chances Newcastle and Sheff Utd had against us at home last 2 games? So whatever he is used to doing is deffo not working lol

Newcastle & Everton couldn`t hit a barn door before we played them, then out of the blue, they turn into the 1970 Brazil Team.

If that don't tell you that something is seriously wrong at our club, then I suggest you see a Doctor.

Exactly Terry and the worrying thing is ,Pellegrini isn,t changing anything. If anything its getting worse. Leaving lanzini and Freddy plus Oggy on the bench?
Surely Anderson needs Lanzini beside him to bounce off? Its ridiculous
Lanzini can open up a defence. How does Haller feel seeing him on the bench marked by 2 players?

Obviously the out and out box midfielder is the guy he should have brought in first , rather then Diop .
That's the problem isn't it ? , he doesnt know how to get the best out of the players he has , and not only that he doesn't know what to do when his plan isn't working .
That's right , it does not matter what he did at Real Madrid or at any of the other teams he managed , because he definitely hasn't got the squad to do what he did with them .
So why is he still persisting with the same tactics , their can only be one reason , and that is as you and many others have said he is going senile.

Someone on here reckons it's Sanchez. I'm basing that on the fact that Gustavo Cuellar was given a glowing recommendation by someone and another someone pointed out that Sanchez keeps him out of the Colombian national team. So we are very fortunate indeed to be able to call on Sanchez's services. So why aren't we calling on them ?

It's all very confusing. Just as it is that Ogbonna now seems to have become indispensable when at the start of the season people were saying he was shit and should be sold.

Well, I think I spotted a change to the great man's tactics.

Our back two appeared much higher up,pushing on behind every attack.

All very laudable Pelle, but shouldn't that have been accompanied by starting with your fastest full back to protect us from the through ball?

No coincidence that they were clear on goal so many times.
