In tribute to former West Ham midfielder Martin Peters, Manuel Pellegrini said: "He did great things for football and for West Ham, playing many games and scoring goals here, and winning the World Cup for England.

"I think that he made a great career and it's sad that he passed away at the weekend."

On having 12 days between matches, Manuel Pellegrini said: "We're working with confidence so I hope we can recover the points we lost earlier in the season.

"We have to play two more games to finish the first round and if we finish with 25 [points], after all the problems we had, it would be a good first part of the season."

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini said: "[Manuel] Lanzini has worked without any problems for around ten days. It is maybe more easy to return after a shoulder injury, and Felipe [Anderson] has worked a complete week without problems after his illness.

"Jack Wilshere has had some problems with his groin so he hasn't worked with the squad."

West Ham United

Time to head to East London to catch-up with West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The Hammers' did not play at the weekend as their game with Liverpool was postponed due to the Reds' involvement in the Club World Cup.

Their where plenty who wanted Wilshere at the club , probably the same who want Romford born Shelvey , the Welsh Pirlo from Stoke , the 33 year old Mandzukic and last but not least Randolph to keep goal . :roll:
