Another good piece from one of the few journos I have any time for. I'm developing a very soft spot for Man City and not just because of the football they play. The idea that anyone should have the authority to tell someone what they can spend their money on is bloody outrageous imo. Let's wait until the fucking pips start squeaking when the financial fall out from the shutdown hits, then watch the football authorities plead for saviours to come in and rescue clubs.

Dwarfy and Dribbly are well pissed-off.
It was a tried and trusted excuse for them.
They can still cling onto it for the moment. If you read the article in full it appears the PL is still looking to see if City have breached their regulations. What is needed to bring them to their senses is a few clubs going bust because of the consequences of the shutdown. I've heard as many as 25 clubs, that's over a quarter of the 91 currently in the league, are in very serious brown stuff indeed.
And unbelievably 2 of those are in the PL.
Why Is There Only One Monopolies Commission. Isn't That A Monopoly?
The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich want the cartel to continue,so they stay the elite.
I so want City to lift the CL this season.Hey,you wouldn't bet on there being a few dodgy decisions going RM's way in their unfinished Quarter Final, would you?

I would bet against that tbh. UEFA can't afford any suggestion of scandal after the decision that casts questions on their competence.
City's main problem will come from our own Premier League. There is much more jealousy and animosity towards them from clubs in this country than their is abroad. German fans despise Bayern Munich btw. They regard the club as a giant hoover, picking up the best German talent from their rivals pretty much every season. Do you think Timo Werner would have gone to Chelsea if bayern didn't have Lewandowski ?
I expect City to complete the job against Real. I'd have liked to see a City v Barcelona final but that isn't going to be possible now because of the draw.

Barcelona aren't has good now..Bayern will turn them over and will paired with City if they get through.
I fancy Atlanta to reach the Final. They have scored more goals the City in the League. An amazing feat in Italy.

The long and short of it is that UEFA hates English clubs and especially Man City because of the money they have but are too stupid to realise that most of the charges they laid at them were when the Abu Dhabi group took over and that was over 5 years ago.
UEFA have a statue of limitations of 5 years in their own rule book....no case to answer and UEFA are absolute morons.
So the FFP thing was brought in to stop the Richer Clubs dominating .....
Hows that going then.......
Got half the PL players earning more for a couple games of Footie...than our poor Boris earns in a fuckin year....
or the same as 200 Nurses..........Fair Play...be fucked...

Bournemouth are one I've heard.
The other I don't know. I doubt it's us but stranger things have happened.
