Every other PL club has signed, or is in the process of signing, decent players to strengthen their squad.
West Ham were legally bound to sign Soucek.
And on top of that they've added this bloke, who I'm sure is a lovely lad.
Dirty fucking shyster bastards bleeding the club dry using coronavirus as a convenient excuse.
To be honest we were 'legally bound' because we committed to it mid-season based on paying this summer ...though you can legally get out of those anyway...but it is still a quality summer signing in my opinion. Try before you buy is no less a deal than sign a player who has never played here.
Just want a full back for the left and a backup forward and id like to get Lanzini out.
Whilst you are not wrong in the literal sense - Soucek was in our side last season and so is not an addition to the squad. He already had a place and a number.
Currently the team that ended the season scraping in just clear of relegation is the team that will start the next season while teams around are investing to improve.
We currently have one striker on the books plus a converted winger and a youth player who has never played a game that everyone seems to be keen on.
We are light in defence, our attacking midfielders cant play Moyesball and our two holding midfielders are either in quarantine or on a slow boat to the Russian West end.
I would suggest a little bit of activity to bolster the squad may help the outlook a fraction
