Anyone watching the City v Saints game will now know exactly why players dive. City were denied one of the most blatant penalties you will ever see because Foden stayed on his feet.
Jon Moss is the ref, don’t know who the VAR is. And it’s a shit game.
Why Is There Only One Monopolies Commission. Isn't That A Monopoly?

The VAR people say that Moss thought McCarthy got a faint touch on the ball and they couldn't see anything to make him look at it again.
VAR remains a complete lottery. In last night's PSG v Barcelona Champions League match, Messi had a penalty saved and Verratti, who had encroached, headed the ball to safety. As the rules stand that's a re-take, but VAR looked at it and ruled there was no offence. By way of contrast, at the start of last season, Fabianski saved a penalty against Manchester City and Declan Rice, who was encroaching, cleared it - VAR decision, a re-take (which was correct, whether we liked it or not). Although the decision in our match didn't matter too much, as they thumped us 5-0!
The law is an ass, as Mr Charles Dickens (a West Ham fan I'm sure) once wrote. The ref for that PSG/Barca game was our very own Anthony Taylor, by the way, and the VAR officials were also English. Most encouraging for future refereeing standards in the Prem.
