They want to reduce the games played in the domestic league because of the increased size of the 'new improved' european competitions. And they fancy swapping out the dreary types like Norwich and Watford with more sellable attractions like Celtic and Glasgow Rangers.

It's all about providing an enhanced entertainment experience for the customer.
