Upton Park redevelopment - 846 dwellings (shocked)

Post by thomasdown480 »

So 846 flats will be built on Upton Park ground.

25% of them have to be affordable & today they announced this will be £350k, so £350k multiply about 211 is about £73mil. That leaves 635 roughly that can sell for god knows what they want to sell them for.

I'd say £500k plus and some into the £1mil plus range.

This is staring to stink it really is.

I'm thinking £500mil range obviously minus building costs.

Why the fuck didn't WHUFC get involved more with this? Does anyone know the full details of the sale? We only know they sold it for £35-£40mil. What other deal was negotiated? I hope to god they are not getting a kick back through another company outside of West Ham to take more money out of our club.

Fucking stinks is what I thought when this got announced today.

Somehow and I don't know how we need this looked into and investigated.

That's a massive difference between £35-40 mil and £500 mil.

No idea how much it cost to build the place. Let's say £5-10 mil just as a guess.

Pretty sure the board woulda done their homework on this before the sale, so yes, it does stink a bit
