Formula 1's seven UK-based F1 teams have come together to help with the manufacture of respiratory devices required to treat Britain's COVID-19 patients.

The united effort, called Project Pitlane, is a direct response to the UK Government's call for assistance with the supply of the crucial and life-saving medical devices.

Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Renault, Racing Point, Haas and Williams - the seven F1 teams based in the UK - are pooling together their engineering resources to help deal with the country's ventilator shortage.

The Mercedes F1 team has delivered to the University College Hospital in London a breathing device that will help patients with COVID-19.

The Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) medical device, which delivers oxygen to the lungs without needing a ventilator, was developed with the help of Mercedes AMG's HPP department in Brixworth, the unit that designs and builds the teams hybrid engines.

Mercedes has so far delivered 40 CPAP devices to UCLH, but a concerted effort by the F1 community - a collective caller the 'Project Pitlane' - will allow for the production of 1,000 units a day if trials go well. I hope Mercedes have not broken any regulations here!.... .... Might give them an advantage over the other teams. :D

Ferrari has given Vettel an ultimatum with a new contract if he accepts.. His new contract will last a year and a significant drop in wages.

Wonder if he will accept?

The McLaren Team, staff, owners, managers and star drivers in the team have all agreed at reduced wages for this year. An attempt to strengthen the team in this difficult time of the Coronavirus once the season begins.

Also Ferrari have offered Vettel a contract at a reduced rate if he accepts. The contract only lasts for a year.

Whatever he says he'll be thankful, blessed and you guys will feature at some point. #predictable.
Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.
