Looks like the FIA are trying to stop Mercedes by banning steering modes in qualification and the race. Surely this effects all teams not Mercedes ? :?

The Spanish GP is one of Hamilton's best tracks, if he wins or gets ahead of Bottas or Verstappen here, he could literally cruise to his 7 titles in the WC, provided he scores good points in every race.

Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen start the first top 3 in qualification for the race.

I think you mean engine modes. ;-)
Mercedes has the best Party Mode, as Lewis calls it. Therefore they stand to lose the most.
I understand why the FIA does these things but I wish they wouldn't do it mid-season. I find it very unfair towards those who have done the best job.

I've been thinking about the imminent musical chairs and who might go where, and when.

My thoughts:
Vettel will leave Ferrari early - probably after Spa.
Raikkonen will then take Vettel's seat for the rest of the season, after which he will retire.
Hulkenberg will take Raikkonen's seat at Alfa Romeo, along with a multi-year contract for the coming seasons.
Vettel will take a much needed holiday before returning to the grid next season in an Aston Martin.

But who will Vettel have as a team mate?

If Perez departs then I think he will go to Haas - and that will be the end for Grosjean.
But I'm not convinced Perez will be the one who has to make way. As unlikely as it seems I think Stroll could be the one who will lose his seat.

If that does happen then where will he go?
I think either back to Williams with a pocketful of money (I'm sure Williams would have a clause in Latifi's contract), or stay on at Aston Martin as a No.3 driver.

All speculation of course. I have no inside information! :D

Toto Wolf was playing possum. Barcelona might have had similar temperatures to Silverstone, but not so many high speed corners. We all know that was the real issue for Merc.
What a tedious watch though. It was so boring I was watching snooker highlights on my phone. :D

Hamilton has the records for poles and podiums now. 4 more wins and he'll have the hattrick.
Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Seems unlikely now after another victory by Hamilton. :)

Yes, I did mean Party Modes ;) ...

If Hamilton wins the next race in 2 weeks time, he can comfortably afford a DNF  and still have a 25 point lead in the WC. He's just 3 wins away from Schumacher's record of 91 wins ever by a race driver.

Yeah..not one of my best bets...Toto and Merc threw me a curve ball as well...
Thought maybe with the heat etc, could be a similar thing to Silverstone, but maybe the rain knocking around cooled things
down a bit...such fine lines in F1 now.....knew I'd lost after about 20,he did split them tho,bit of a shock in itself.
Merc would have adjusted a few settings as well.

Lewis on a different planet tho,so don't mind losing a score...as much as he has pissed me of a bit lately...he's the best I've
seen, few more wins, will pretty much confirm that...

It was Spain. What did you expect?
It is a good circuit for testing on with its mix of corners, but I wish they wouldn't race there. Or if they insist on racing there then change the layout for the race.
