I say Border Patrol loosely of course. They're more like Marchioness-type party boats.

Because of a variety of reasons.

Many claim to be children. Despite facial growth that would suggest otherwise.
They've thrown away their passports. So we don't know where they're from.
Activist leftie lawyers prevent their removal.
The Frogs encourage them to leave. They don't want the problem.
The EU flout the current Dublin rules and put obstacles up for accepting them back.

The system is a joke.

And I admit, it will only get worse after Brexit, even though I voted to leave.

The Aussies have the right idea.

And I have a cunning plan.

We don't have an empire any more. But we have a few Overseas Territories including Tristan da Cunha in the middle of the Atlantic.

They'll be safe from war there. The current population is 290. Sweeteners to move them all to nearby St Helena shouldn't prove too difficult. A heavily fortified administration centre and Robert is your father's brother. They can file their asylum claims there.

If it was good enough for Napoleon it should be good enough for any 17 year old from war-torn Afghanistan. Or indeed a 45 year old saying he's 17 from Nigeria.

If Carlberg did asylum....
How do the Aussies deal with it?

Australia have that vast amount of space, but they won`t take them.

We have a small island and all our hotels are full of them. :x

I don't know what the Aussies do now. But up until recently, they intercepted illegal immigrants at sea and sent them to Manus and Nauru Islands in Papua New Guniea. Which weren't very nice.

There was a lot of outcry from the Human Rights lobby at the time about the morality of it all but it nipped the smuggling trade in the bud and deaths from drowning stopped. In short, illegal immigrants realised they wouldn't be welcome.

Tut tut Tim.

I'm not advocating anything sinister on my Tristan Da Cunha camp.

Breaking rocks will suffice.

I believe the Falkland Islands have an acute shortage of lawyers doctors and fruit pickers, maybe a bit too far to paddle .

This Scottish hate crime bill looks like something out of Soviet era Eastern Europe.

I was watching this video of Neil 'the one with the hair from Coast' Oliver chatting about it.
It sounds terrifying.
Oh, and Mr. Oliver has gone up several levels of estimation in my book.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Well, hose me down with lager.

My very suggestion was considered. I'm a visionary.

Ascencion Island or St Helena.

It's been rejected as the cost would be too much but how much does it cost to house these scrounging fuckers in three star hotels for months ?

Not as far afield is St.Kilda, which is now uninhabited. The last 36 of them left in 1930 as it was too grim, which, if you've ever been to Dundee, is saying something. The island is 80 miles from the Jock mainland. High waves make it inaccessible for much of the year. And that far out in the Atlantic fucking nippy too.

That should make them think if it was worth it coming across the channel.
