The problem is there are no practical solutions.
Minorities have the same rights as everyone else, and there are laws to protect against discrimination.
None of these facts can stop people being racist though. And unfortunately racism, even more so than sexual assault, is hard to prove.
You see stats pulled out, which are notoriously unreliable (see: the gender pay gap). Then there's personal testimony, which is even more unreliable than stats.

The only 'solution' I ever see is one of positive discrimination. Usually in the form of targets and quotas. Some old woman resigned from the Birmingham Commonwealth Games committee this week because it lacked 'diversity'.
I mean never mind capability, your skin is the wrong colour! What sort of way is that to do business? This quest for diversity is counterproductive in my opinion.

The real problem is not the quest for diversity. It is worrying about the quest for diversity. That is why no progress is attainable.

It's the people who think equality of outcome is the be all and end all.
If minority representation isn't, at the very least, proportional then some form of racial discrimination must be at work.
And if there is some other factor involved, then there's a lack of inclusiveness... which is pretty much racial discrimination by proxy.

People need to be aware of what they mean by racism. Not what they think it means,but what it actually means.

So my explanation would be: racism is believing in the inferiority or superiority of a group based on race. That's it.No more no less.

The BLM lot like to go further and twist it something like this: Any societal structure that results in a racial inequality is itself racist. So what that means is any structure that results in a not exact proportion between whites and blacks is racist.

And then that logically follows that these ant-racists want to tear down all these structures. So in it's simplistic form that mean breaking stuff during a protest.

Where the challenge arises is educating those people that broadly support BLM principles to understand that personal agency is the most influential factor in determining any positive outcome. People are reluctant to get on board with that idea, because it suggests what happens to someone,happens because of that persons actions,not the actions of other people around them.

And the BLM is all about feelings and it's inconvenient that facts don't care about feelings
