Nice to see someone put Pop Robson in their team.... great little player...always in the right place at the right time .... enjoyed watching him bang the goals in during my early days at Upton Park.

Re: Underated Irons

Tony Gale was certainly a defender that had bit of class about him... we certainly have been blessed with a lot of proper footballers down the years. Just haven’t done much with them unfortunately.

Re: RIP Mabel Arnold

Yes Mabel must have seen so many ups and downs, and to have survived a World War and all them years as a West Ham supporter is some achievement !
God bless you Mabel...and see if you can have a quiet word with the man up there to bring us some luck.

Mark Ward.

Feisty little fucker.

Took on John Pearson when playing charlton once, he was about 6 foot 6 and shat himself
Ward was feisty alright ... he played a big part in the run in during 86 ...good at winning a pen and a good shot on him.

Re: Underated Irons

Good shout Danno,
Patsy Holland was a very good player... Boyce was a little before my time but looked good on a few vids I have watched.
Schemmel was also a beast on his day.

Underated Irons

Who’s your most underated players to have worn the shirt for West Ham.
In my view Geoff Pike was a great little player and Steve Potts was so consistent for us but neither really got noticed especially outside of West Ham.

Re: Assistant who allowed offside Liverpool goal vs West Ham dropped by officials' body

You can forgive a Lino in some situations but he was next to the play and clearly watching the ball and Llananas skills instead of watching the line which is appalling as he is the linesman ffs!
If he is to be dropped it should be from a very high bridge !
