Re: Our scouts.

A friend of mine mentioned to me that he had seen an advertisement for club scouts at West Ham. He knows the scouting set up quite well as he does it for them at N17 and has been doing so for quite some time. He also mentioned that it was for volunteers! Yes, volunteers! He was dumbstruck, I was fu...

Re: Karen Brady on Sky News

We have to take some of the blame mate. Or at least those of my generation (not sure about yours) do. Re: Karen Brady on Sky News

She was almost certainly responsible for us getting the Stadium very cheaply. And I doubt if she is responsible, at least not the main reason, for the improvements promised by the Dribbler, not happening. Like the Stadium or loathe the Stadium we had to move. However no one in their right mind woul...

Re: Happy Birthday Bob

Didn’t he score the winner in the third place playoff final a few years back? I only remember that because the caption underneath the photo of the paper saying ‘Booby Zamora celebrates his winner against...’ blah blah blah... I’ve been calling him Booby ever since. :? I remember the song: When the ...

Re: Happy Birthday Bob

Happy birthday Z-man. Only at West Ham are there goals montages with commentaries mentioning 'consolation' and 'day to forget'. But isn't that totally in keeping with the words of our stirring anthem ? ;) Sorry, but I couldn't pass up that opportunity after you left the door just a little bit open....

Re: Today's evening standard.

No coincidence with the timing of that. Once again he scores an own goal because all he’s doing is attracting more mainstream media attention. That didn’t end too well for him last time. Doesn’t learn from his mistakes this bloke does he. You’d have thought someone with a media background would be ...

Playing an unfit injured keeper instead of Stretches son
Says to me it was the old pals act getting Martin in the first place.
Jobs for the (old) boys does seem to be part of the West Ham way.
