Re: Richard Scudamore: Premier League clubs asked for £250,000 towards his £5m bonus

All I'll say about another prime example of sheer lazy greed is that if anyone thinks it was "earned" then they know fuck all about work !! He was grossly overpaid in the first place if he was given that sort of money.

Re: Joe Cole

I'll tell you my worst Joe Cole moment. He'd fucked off to Chelsea, played under Ranieri and was getting up to all his old tricks and flicks and generally being Joe Cole. Mourinho arrived at Chelsea and during a game Joe finished off a sweeping move by back heeling the ball into the goal in a not d...

Re: Huddersfield v West Ham - Official Match Thread

It may be that we are getting ahead of ourselves. Just comparing our stats and Liverpools (admittedly they won 1-0) against Huddesfield shows they had 52% possession whereas we had 56%. They had 2 shots on target and we had 5 and they had 4 corners and we had 6. Bearing in mind we made Liverpool loo...

Re: Samir Nasri having a medical at West Ham - Today!

I was a fan of him a few years back when he was in his prime but at 31 he best days are behind him, Can't go wrong with a 6 month contract though. Worth a gamble with the twins money lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aXG4jjaCtQ Not passing comment on his suitability or comparing (maybe age) but...

Re: Player Prices and Net Spend

Just to keep it in perspective, Dyer from 1996-2007 played 280 games (and scored 32 goals) for Ipswich/Newcastle. That suggests to me we were incredibly unlucky with someone I think we were all really excited about when he signed. I know at the time it was the first time for years we actually went f...

Re: Player Prices and Net Spend

Money buys you quality on the balance of probability Man City prove that. They do. But there is a case for saying we are the exception that proves the rule. I think I'm right in saying that over the years Kieron Dyer, Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew have all had the distinction of being our record sign...

Re: Lets look at Pellegrini

I think in the long term you can only accumulate points and progress up the league by playing good attractive football i.e with movement and pace and with good players. I know teams and we are one of them have managed to stay up by playing boring defensive football but it's only short term as eventu...

Re: Lets look at Pellegrini

Whilst points/position etc are important , surely everyone is more proud and excited with the way we are playing. Points/position will come good and we will all want to watch our team again with anticipation if we continue to carry on with our improvement which must be obvious to everyone.

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread

I agree about Snodgrass, Saturday along with Rice and Obiang the midfield worked really well, now what happens when Noble is available, does he go straight back in....or is this the start of him coming in off the bench after 70-80 mins the other two Snodgrass and Obiang don't deserve to be dropped ...

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread

Nothing to do with Pellegrini because Snodgrass was a very useful player at Hull ( his stats proved it), that's why we signed him. Unfortunately plenty didn't give him a chance and were too quick to blame him for others failings.
