Is it wrong?

Post by Phil » Sun Jan 06, 2019 10:14 am

To want Millwall to win today so we have a chance of getting them in the next round?

I've always felt our rivalry with Millwall is almost as stupid as the Palace/Brighton animosity. Surely rivalry should be between teams who normally perform at the same level. Considering Millwall as our "rivals" demeans us imo.

So yes Phil, you're wrong. ;)

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Imagine Millwall playing at the London stadium - like a dog listening to classical music

A good person does things in silence, others strive to be seen as good so scream out their deeds.

History has as much to do with rivalry as the current, perhaps even more so.
So I’d beg to differ on that one Whisk.
Rivalry can be cultural, historical, political and more....not just what happens on the pitch.
That said.... I myself don’t go for any of those. What I do go for is that it’s just damn good fun ;)

Apparently it goes back to a dockers' strike back in the mists of time. So it hasn't even got anything to do with football. That said nor have Millwall of course. I agree with your logic re rivalries but I think ours must be the only one with roots not in the game itself. Apart from those skirt wearing religious zealots up in Glasgow of course. But they're all just fucking cunts. ;)

In any case, as someone once said. "History is bunk". Been meaning to ask how did you get on with your firestick btw ?

Ooh..... you’ve just reminded me mate
Haven’t gotten around to it yet but most certainly will.
I’ll have a look this week as a matter of fact.

1st thing we have to do is get through our game which on paper looks easy but a game is never won on paper
