£25M won't even scratch the surface.

Still, It's not all bad, come the summer Sanchez may be back and he'll be just like a new signing dontchya know. The seen-less-often-than-Sasquatch Jack Wilshire may even make an appearance...or two.

As for topping up the old transfer kitty with player sales...Ummmm newsflash Daves...I don't reckon the players you have earmarked are worth a fraction of what you think they are. Should have taken the offer for the Serbian Billy big bollocks in January coz ain't no fucker ever gonna come back with a bid anywhere near that this summer.

Premier League football is an expensive business and if, as owners you are unwilling or unable to stump up the cash needed to compete at the level that you yourselves have stated many, many times that you want us to be at, then it's time to sell up to someone who can. Stop selling us pipe dreams you never had any intention of ever realistically achieving.

Cunts. :x

Have you all forgotten that we will have Hugill and Byran back in our fold......so that should sort out the striker and right back problems out.......those two would save us millions in transfer fees.........

35 for Arnie. 30 Million raised from others leaving. plus 25 gives us 90 million to play with
Nice idea but no one seems to want our cast offs... and if they do we get peanuts for them.

Apparently we're interested in Frank Kessie. Not for £25M we're not!! Blokes worth double that and probably a bit more.

You do wonder where a rumour like that comes from.
Someone's arse is my guess.
Not a chance we're buying an established player from a CL club.

It would be great if we had the money for Kessie, but I'm not that disappointed we don't.
Our problem has always been being wasteful with what resources and budget we have. That at least seems to have changed with the Pellegrini regime.
Christ, when I think about all the players we've signed that were a complete waste of money, it's eye watering.

Is it me or does it seem that every summer we’re almost starting from scratch with our squad?
“Major clear out of dead wood and major investment needed” seems to be the mantra every single summer.
Very true. I think you have a core of good players- fabby, diop, the general, rice, lanzini, Antonio (?), noble, etc and just rotate through the others who make up the numbers.

I do sometimes feel the big squads destroy these rotation players. Pretty obvious that someone on the periphery of the first team playing occasional games is going to really struggle to excel. Specially when they come on in a losing scenario away to some shit club...
