Next season will we know if Pellegrini is serious about getting in the players needed to compete for European places or at least be in the running. If the board doesn,t back him again then he will walk. If he doesn,t walk then we will know we have no chance under the current owners of doing anything but survive and Pellegrini will see out his 3 years at 8 million a season and say adios.
We need to fuck Arnie off Asap because he can pull a strop and down tools anytime he wants. Get rid of 6 or 7 players and get what we need in.

The nett spend this summer will be a lot lower than last years 90 million but I have a feeling the gross spend will be a lot higher if and it's a big if all the money from sales goes back into the transfer kitty.

Lets see how everyone thinks our Hammers did now another season is over

Fabianski ... 9 - deserved HOTY, maybe a couple he would like back, but what keeper wouldn't. Outstanding consistent performances, the flappy tag has largely gone and our signing of the season. Superb.

Cresswell ... 6 - struggled for fitness, has looked decent and almost back to his best at times and works well with Anderson, but gets injured again when he finds form. Set pieces and crosses need to improve.

Balbuena ... 8 - contender for bargain of the season in the entire league, would be signing of the season if it were not for super Fab. Steadies the whole ship, commanding, balls of steel and just solid. We realize how good he is when he was missing.

Zabaleta ... 5 - started brightly, brings tremendous experience, maturity and a winning mentality, but faded badly towards the end of the season and surely can only play a bit part role now. Happy to keep him for another season if the alternate is Byram, but surely Johnson has to come through as his pupil now

Arnautovic ... 6 - I would be tempted to rate him maybe half that, but he is our top scorer and the first Hammer in ages to get to double figures...! which can't be ignored. Hopefully his head is back out of his ass because he can and should be a solid performer for us and brings a swagger and arrogance when up for it we need

Anderson ... 7 - needs consistency, but flair players like that need time and also quality around him to be on his wavelength, which frankly is many nanowotsits beyond the rest of them. Truly borderline world class and a joy to behold when in full flow, an artist of the game, poetry in motion. Baller.

Carroll ... 1 - natural history museum, never mind nursing home. Feel sorry for him in a way due to the injuries, no player wants to be sidelined, but when he was fit Pelle truly persisted with him and gave him many chances, but was a fish out of water and just a liability. Sad, the game at this level has passed him by and it seems he has just been unable to adapt

Lanzini ... 5 - disappointing, the injury was a massive set back, it seemed he was back with a bang and played some nice stuff, but ultimately he has actually contributed very little considering he should be tailor made for Pelle. Hopefully will get a good pre-season under his belt but on recent form not the first name on the team sheet and difference maker we were hoping for when he was out

Snodgrass ... 6 - worked his way into the team when we had all written him off, had a real purple patch, but faded. Corners are superb, but other than that his ability is limited, but a real grafter and trier and we love a player like that and a really useful squad player to have.

Adrian ... 3 - sad end (surely) to his West Ham career, but there is no way he could take super Fab's place. Little chance to prove himself and ultimately it was him between the pipes to concede several against AFC Wimbledon

Obiang ... 3 - one or two decent games, but mostly inept, lethargic, uninspiring performances from a man who clearly wishes he was elsewhere. Could and has been so much better

Sanchez ... 4 - not much chance to prove himself really, made one bad mistake which we will all remember him for but actually has been solid enough apart from that and will be a useful squad player

Noble ... 8 - a little inconsistent and can get a little heated and then make rash plays, but steps up when it matters and has finished the season superbly. Surely the end is drawing nigh, but is still under rated, plays some superb passes, great vision, and his grit, determination and effort are second to none. One of the best penalty takers in the whole league. My captain of my team. What a man.

Hernandez ... 6 - contributed some important goals, plays well as a sub, earns his starting place then disappoints. Best years behind him, frequent niggly injuries and illnesses and doesn't contribute enough to the whole game, excited to sign him but would not be sad to see him go, but equally happy for him to stay because there is certainly an element of our lot not providing him the service he needs

Nasri ... 4 - no doubt a massive talent and has shown glimpses of his class, problem is just that, glimpses. Another injury nightmare and would be exactly what we need if he could keep fit, which seems doubtful and therefore a massive risk

Wilshere ... 5 - this boy is talented and probably the only one to push Anderson as borderline world class, his last couple of games back he has put in some silky touches. One of those if only players.

Yarmolenko ... 5 - another huge talent, was just beginning to settle in and find form, here's hoping he will make a full recovery, but one of those you wonder if he will never be the same again

Ogbonna ... 7 - maybe many are surprised at his high rating from me. There is no question what our starting CB pairing is, but he has played a substantial portion of the season and has been more than average. He clearly loves the club, he is hard as nails and committed to the cause and chips in with a couple of vital goals. But we do concede more with him in the team and maybe he is his rather too laid back, but a more than solid understudy and deserves praise just for quietly getting on with it. Not sure we will get much better to be a bench warmer.

Diop ... 7 - this kid should be class, clearly missed Balbuena and went through a rough patch and IMO was rightly dropped, but came back as he started off. Needs to mature, has some issues with positional sense sometimes and can tend to lunge in when his long strides don't quite come off, but not helped with an ever changing and inconsistent RB's. One for the long haul because he is just going to get better and better and I can see him replacing Umtiti in the France squad

Fredericks ... 7 - I think this lad has got it, just needs a consistent run of games to prove it which he has never had. Clearly our #1 RB now, his pace is frightening and has improved immensely as the season has progressed and found some consistency and form. Injury record already a concern however

Masuaku ... 6 - really don't know what to think, bloke was heading for a 3, total liability. But has turned it around and has finished quite strongly. Some superb wing play, just needs to improve the end product and will probably never be a true defender

Perez ... 4 - bloke has had extremely limited chances, but has taken some of them and still scored a few and looked OK when he came on, but throwing his toys out of the pram has hardly helped his cause here

Antonio ... 8 - I love this man, had issues and injuries, but got himself together again and his sheer strength, power, muscle and determination, with his 110% effort, commitment, energy and running makes him unplayable and a deadly weapon. Not a skill player of course, but one of our most valuable assets and a man I want at my club. Absolute beast and warrior, so happy to hear the fans singing his name again - well deserved.

Rice ... 8 - everything has been said about this kid, but what a season he has had after learning the lessons from that first game at Anfield. Just applies the KISS philosophy and he deserves every accolade he gets. Hope we can keep hold of him to be our captain for years to come.

Diangana ... 5 - bright start, but still not quite ready for this level yet. Needs to go to the Antonio gym, maybe a season a level down will be good for him
Reading all the scores and your opinions, I fully agree.

The forwards are a mixture of injured, inconsistent, unsuited, old, self destructive and useless. At least one should've got close to hitting 15 PL goals this season.
Arnautovic and Hernandez are on £300k a week between them and 17 goals really is a piss poor return.
And here lies the problem, Hernandez is not suited to the system we play, but his goal rate is 1 every 190 mins played, Arnie scores 1 every 200 mins and surprisingly Perez 1 every 155 mins played. Supposedly our three strikers, although Arnie is not a natural striker. As our main striker one of them like you say should be hitting 15 per season. Only four teams below us principle strikers failed to score more than Arnie. Whereas teams like Fulham, Brighton, Burnley, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Crystal palace main strikers all did better. How many big chances has Arnie and even Antonio when played as a striker missed when it looked easier to score. These two our not strikers and Mr P will be desperate to bring at least one or two into the club this summer. We have lost 6 games this season by the odd goal and 7 draws if we had the natural quality finisher up front maybe some of those draws could of been converted to wins and likewise some of the losses into draws. Definitely time to look for a top quality striker

This is a funny read on our strikers bought under the Sullivan / Gold era.
Maybe I should forward it on to Mr P to forewarn him.......

Arnautovic could've scored 15+ this season. Trouble is that on top of the piss poor attitude he's starting to pick up niggling injuries. And it's only a matter of time before the niggles start becoming lengthy layoffs.
If, and it's a big if, we could get rid of Arnie and Hernandez we'd have a nice bit of bunse, but more importantly 300k -- and that's not including savings on ACs disability benefit -- in wages to tempt a bit of quality up front.
As unrealistic as it is, players like Dybala, Milik, Icardi, Alcacer, Haller and Pepe aren't on that kind of money.
Let's see some ambition for a change.
Mind you Crouchy could still be a bit useful if we're stuck...

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Noble needs replacing.
If we want to get to the next level we certainly need to look beyond a player who's contribution to a fine win was merely two goals and 68 passes with a 97% success rate.

Against a team safe from relegation and looking forward to a cup final , No denying he played well recently at the end of the season when most are on there holidays , but where has he been for the rest of the season ? Been very inconsistent and tired in most games .

I don't see that player. He isn't someone who is happy with just lofting aimless balls forward into space which is why when he has no options he holds on to the ball and sometimes gets caught, or passes back.

If you don't get Noble, you don't get football.

It might just be a coincidence, but Noble has had very little competition for his position this season due to injuries, with only Obiang really being the only threat for his spot most of the season. For the last few games Wilshire and Sanchez have been available, although both not fully fit presented a challenge to Noble and this surely must have led to the upturn in form of Noble. Having to justify his place. If we had a fully fit Whilshire this season I think that Noble would have had a lot less starts.

I get it , but just feel Noble is past it , I wanted him playing for England a decade ago when he was at the top of his game , and even then he wasnt good enough by all accounts , so what do I know . Suppose you are one of the few who want him in the England team now being as he is that good . In my eyes Nobles days are limited .
