WHU do you want to leave?

Post by SoggyOggy » Wed May 15, 2019 8:49 pm

I've written a short blog post about which players I think will be moving on in the summer and I'd like to hear your opinions. Also would love to know who you want us to sell in the summer and why? whufc_crest

Good stuff, mate. Although Reid's a Kiwi not an Aussie.

I'd agree with pretty much all of your picks.
Leaving aside those out of contract:
Arnautovic; Age, injuries, attitude, wages.
Hernandez; Age, suitability, wages.
Perez; Age, form, suitability.
Obiang; Ability, form, wages.
Snodgrass; wages, ability.
Fernandes; Ability.
Masuaku; Ability (defensive), suitability.
Cresswell; Age, injuries, form.
Ogbonna; Age, form, wages.
Reid; Age, injuries, wages.

It's unlikely that lot would all go in one window, but imo they all need removing or replacing.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Arnie. Chico. Perez. Carrol. Reid. Obiang.Sanchez.Nasri.

Min. 45 - 50 Mill for those. 40 Million from the twins. 90 Million to play with fingers crossed. 2 strikers 1 decent 1 back up. 45 Million. Holding Mid .players 45 Million. 1 decent loan player.

Yeah I had realized the Aussie mistake after I had finished posting.

Snodgrass out? I had actually considered it as well but then there are so little grafters in the squad that I thought maybe it'd be worth keeping him around. Plus the fact that he seems to be one of our only players capable of delivering a decent corner. To be honest though with everyone fit I don't see a place for him in the starting eleven and his lack of pace and vision is a real let down sometimes. Wondering if he could be converted to a leftback.

A bit risky to rid of all 4 strikers at once isn't it? There are no guarantees we could get able replacements with the cost of a decent striker nowadays.
I like your idea of buying at least two strikers though. Antonio and Silva could be the backups if both of them got injured.
But I'm not against giving Perez a chance.

The bets teams in premiership have the best wing backs
Liverpool . I have no idea how many assists Arnold and the left back lad has between them but i bet its more than the whole of our squad.
City have Walker and the Russian guy on the left.
Spurs Trippier and Rose.

Interesting you mention wingbacks and assists....because this season ours were absolute shit.
Left
Cresswell 1 assist PL .......1 assist micky mouse cup
Arthur 1 assist PL.........1 assist micky mouse cup
Right
Zabba 1 assist PL
Fredericks....1 assist micky mouse cup

6 assists between them all season........

Arnold got 16 on his own and Andy Robertson 13.......

Last year with Fulham Fredericks had 9 assists
Zabba had his usual 1
Cresswell had 7 and Arthur 3.........what the fuck has happened this year then.

Need to have a little crossing / passing practice in the closed season I think

Sugo and their mouthpiece.
Were that to happen, and their replacements being of the necessary calibre, it would do more for the club than any amount of dealing in the transfer market imo.

As for the original question. I don't want anyone to leave unless they are replaced with upgraded models. Hungry young players like Diop who can be developed so they become mainstays of an improving side or, assuming the ownership doesn't change, be sold for a substantial profit when said development has happened.

TRADITION--Just because we've always done it like this doesn't mean it's not incredibly SILLY
