I haven't seen as much of Fornals as you obviously have but I have seen a little of Wilshere since he joined us. Obviously I couldn't have seen much of him could I ? All I can say is if Fornals has to fight Wilshere for the No 10 spot he isn't as good as you say he is. Wilshere might have been a good player 4 or 5 seasons back but his injuries have totally fucked his career. Tbh I doubt we'll see much of him during the remaining years of his contract.
Fair comments Whisky, maybe I didn't really explain what I wanted to say very well. I agree totally regarding Whilsire, I personally would like to see him last a good season with us, he certainly is not as good as Fornals, but, he's good enough to keep Fornals on his toes. It has been a long time since we had quality on the pitch and players now having to justify their place because of other squad players fighting for their spot. Like I said, I'm looking forward to the season ahead and will be very interested to see Mr P's selections.
We'd all like to see him have a good season for us. Like I said he was, at least imo, a good player 4 or 5 seasons back and a return to anything like the sort of form he showed then would be brilliant for us. Sadly I think it's beyond him.

Name three outstanding or memorable performances

Then think of the games he did nothing
If he is a bang average player, then fuck knows how we stayed in the premiership the first 2 seasons when we moved because we had 90% worse than him.
Scored what 8 goals in his last season before injury? Not bad for a midfielder mate.
Charlie Adam would have stood out playing with some of the cack Lanzini has

And as you say, this was a couple of years ago - we’ve moved on

Lanzini was more effective when Payet was in the team and taking the attention of defenders away from him... maybe the new guy can do the same.

goodpost:) And I agree , I think Arnie plays better with lanzini on the pitch too .

Might just be me , but I thought Anderson had a problem with Arnie after his transfer fiasco , and wasn't playing him in, or passing to him , didn't celebrate their goals together either.

it changed again towards the end of the season , so hopefully theyve kissed and made up .

Dont think thats the case. More that Anderson sometimes makes the wrong decision.

As does Lionel Messi and every other footballer from time to time.

Exactly. As soon as one of ours does though there always has to be a shady reason for it rather than they are not a robot

Very ordinary player.
Won't start 15 games next season.
That means he will be terrific going by your previous form.
