What if Rice picks up an injury?

Another season where we haven,t addressed the obvious weakness which is a DM . What happens if Rice picks up an injury? I guess it would have to be Noble and Sanchez and lose an offensive. What if one of them gets injured? They are both over 30.

then in comes the man for the job and we can sit back and say why didn't we sign him years ago

dont follow the academy much, but im guessing there is no one (cullen?) making a name for themself there. If Declan was the only one of kind its a worry and poor scouting.
if we get lumbered with sanchez would suggest we may struggle, would defo bring noble back against brighton as we need a bit of steel, probably our best passer of the ball, although i hear wilshire did well on saturday for a time.

Not at all Mike.
Not working today and was sitting here with a cuppa thinking about Rice and Say Noble out with injuries.
Pellegrini wont mind he will pack the midfield with offensive players.

A decent back up defensive midfielder would be nice, or indeed just a midfielder. You know one that is adept offensively and defensively, a footballer who can tackle, run with the ball, pass well, track back, get forward, win headers, we seem to have one defensive midfielder in Rice, 3 attacking midfielders in Fornals, Lanzini and Wilshere. Sanchez who we all know is not of the required standard, leaving Mark Noble who not many seem to want in the first team now we have players with more flair. Some would say Wilshere is more of an all rounder but I consider him more of an attacking creative player and he occasionally gets injured.

It is a bit of a worry if Rice gets injured, I guess it will be Noble or Sanchez that comes in, I think we can be ok as long as Pellegrini ensures they are supported when we don't have the ball by the other central midfielders, we can't have a situation where we have a defensive midfielder and 3 number 10s, we don't want to be playing 4-1-5. City's attacking midfielders work incredibly hard defensively and break their backs to win the ball back, there's no reason ours can't do the same. I'm still struggling to get over the 5-0 drubbing they handed us. Hopefully that beating will ensure no complacency against Brighton and we go out their, battle to win every 50/50, every header and get our season on track.
