Could be stripped off from the Football League if they don't have suitable financial plan/operational by Friday.

Time is running out........

Bolton Wanderers could be next......

People can say what they want about how clubs should be run, living beyond their means blah blah blah. But what a crying shame that while the premier League is rolling in money and some of these greedy jumped up spoilt fucking brats of players light cigars with £50 notes the rest of the footballing world are counting the tea bags. Fucking riles me no end.
All players have to start somewhere to learn their so called trade, it's about fucking time they gave back to the little clubs who helped put them on their pedestals.

Totally agreed.....the gulf between Premier League and rest of the other league is getting wider and wider every seasons.

Let me put an alternative view.

I get pissed off when people go on about how important it is to save clubs like Bury & Bolton. And Portsmouth back in the day. But isn't in unfair on the hundreds of clubs further down the pyramid who DO live within their means, and who in many cases run teams for kids of all ages, who are effectively prevented from advancing up the pyramid because of clubs that are allowed to continue in the league at pretty much the same level (yeah, yeah, I know about the 12 point deduction).

There is nothing to stop clubs like Bury reforming, as Accrington and Newport County have both done in the past, and starting again. The kind of "football socialism" you are suggesting, where irresponsible clubs are rewarded with handouts from wealthier ones, is, imo, a kind of reward for irresponsible financial management.

More money to grass roots football by all means, but not to prop up financial basket cases like many clubs have been propped up in the past.

Indeed Whisky, indeed.
But if Bury do go to the wall, how are we to find the next Paul Hilton?
Have you contemplated that!

There are quite a few of these Chairman that asset strip clubs and pocket the readies,You only have to look at the c*nt at Blackpool. It`s similar at Bolton and quite a few others.Luton and Portsmouth were both lucky to survive.

I feel sorry for the fans, because they are really the only one`s that suffer, thanks to the greedy bastards in the Boardroom.

Football clubs are businesses, if you don't balance the books you go under. Too many clubs trying to step up too fast

I think in many cases it's incompetence and not greed that's the problem. Owners allow themselves to be pressured by fan demands to spend, spend and spend more, even if they don't have the money to do so. They borrow more and more and when the lenders want their cash back that's when the problems start.
