We certainly don't agree on that one mate. Messi would be outstanding in the PL, just as he has been in La Liga for the past dozen years or so.

But his "you can leave free" deal only applies to non European clubs and pretty much means that only Man City could afford him and I just don't see Guardiola breaking the bank for a 32 year old. No matter how brilliant.

I am in the middle of his biography and it seems he nearly left early on but later he has always been looked after by Barca and has always said he would eventually return to Newells Old Boys at the end of his career.
