£44.5m net spend, less £7m for Chicha makes it £37.5m
Sky Sports.....
This one has it on 39 Andy and there are various others I’ve seen mate , some higher some a lot lower .
But as we all know it’s not what they spent it’s what they could have achieved if they had spent a bit more.

Someone made a point on other threads that it maybe better to wait till next year , spend decent money on quality rather than stop gap players which is a good point .

My feeling is that if our window closed in line with the rest of Europe they would have had a Pea replacement lined up or at least reinvested that money elsewhere as the gruesome twosome had pledged in the spring.

That won’t happen now as we suspect where it’ll go.

We’ll never really know what the net spend will be so it’s not a great argument and there’s no doubting we have improved .

The way it is suits those 3 Cunts just fine

For some reason I can’t paste the article I found but the Net Spend varies between 30.5 and 39 mill

Can't agree with that mate. Everyone knew when the window was going to close so plans would have been made. It's not as if Hernandez leaving was a massive surprise.

The trick is to have a couple of people join and leave for undisclosed fees. That way the net spend waters are muddied enough that no-one really knows how far under or over the club actually is. The best we can say is we're in the ballpark of £30m net. However that's such a small sum that +/- 5 or 10 million makes a huge difference. What is fact though is that wage bill has been slashed. Getting Hernandez off the books has saved £7m in wages. Add that to a £7m fee. And even if your net spend was £40m you're back down to £26m. Not of course that the club will count those saved wages.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

That won’t happen and you know that , nobody knows , it’s all guesswork and it depends on your opinion of the credibility of the source .

Andy’s opinion of Sky is obvious :D

This site , which may or may not be credible , is generally considered to undervalue certain players etc but is also generally considered reliable .

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ha ... verein/379

Has our net spend at less than £24m which , of course , suits a lot of arguments but obviously doesn’t take into account wages and agents fees etc etc .

Which none of us will ever know of course until the accounts are published and even then there are ways & means eh Dave’s ? ;)

Witchiepoo    cant unsee it now

I wish she would stick to what she is good at, running the club. But her fame + controversial content = views and $$$.

Fortunately she'll move on to bigger and better things than football one day. I can see her being PM.

Amazingly she is correct the smaller teams in the division benefited from the top 6 unable to take their players. The overseas leagues in the main don't have the resources.

still rather she kept her views to herself.

I don’t understand ? How were the top 6 unable to take our players?

Surely if the money was right they had 2 months to do it ?

To me it doesnt seem ideal to have the top leagues windows closed at different times. i do however like that it closes before start of season.
