The pessimism is so valid 😂

We have a chance of 3rd or 9th . . . . . surely we'll grasp mediocrity from the jaws of progress.

I’m too long in the tooth to be overly confident pre any West Ham match , especially when our recent history tells us that we bottle it every time we get a superb opportunity to really climb the table.

The fact that it’s so early in the season may change our mentality though.

I said may . It won’t . I can see us leading 0-2 and clinging on for a point at the end .

Just like the Norwich game , I’ll be working so I won’t see it .

Which gives us a glimmer of hope

pretty certain in my yoof i loved the idea of watching west ham on the box , the older i get the more it becomes , not a chore exactly, but fills me with dread. As has been muted already an excellent opportunity to make a statement and one which probably 80-90% of us think we will fuck up. I defo sit in the glass 1/2 empty stand with west ham, so will go for a draw and look to get something out of our home games. Not really been that strong at home since we moved and would love to make it a fortress.

if Our best players turn up , i think we will score, problem is with oggy at the back i think they will.

Didn,t want to see Rice play 2 International games. How did Lanzini do for Argies?
Villa had a decent 2-0 win against Everton at home. Not an easy team to take down Everton.
Big test this game. It,s a game we would have probably lost a couple of seasons back so ......
Bournemouth may beg to differ... kickimmuts

For the quality Everton have got, they have been disappointing.

We know Villa will come at us straight away, with the crowd right behind them..We got to hold strong for the first 20 minutes, then pick them off.

Bournemouth survive each season comfortably because of their home form. Like Terry said, well disappointing Everton were.Tough league when you are not on your game. Watford took the piss out of Arsenal 2nd half yesterday.

Are our full backs improving? Do seem to be...

Always been reluctant to forecast a win with that pair.

And Oggy's liking for a grapple in the box.

Oggy is hit and miss isn,t he Mike. Lets hope he has a hit tonight lol. I was impressed with Balbuena last year. No idea why him and Diop are not sharing them slots. Only conclusion for me is that Diop prefers right center back same as the general and Oggy is left footed which makes him a natural left center back.
