The pessimism is so valid 😂

We have a chance of 3rd or 9th . . . . . surely we'll grasp mediocrity from the jaws of progress.
Big Sam would’ve been licking his lips at this golden opportunity to remain in 9th place.

We'll win if Anderson can prove his consistency.

Outstanding last game. He was 1 in 4 last season.

Are our full backs improving? Do seem to be...

Always been reluctant to forecast a win with that pair.

And Oggy's liking for a grapple in the box.
Oggy is hit and miss isn,t he Mike. Lets hope he has a hit tonight lol. I was impressed with Balbuena last year. No idea why him and Diop are not sharing them slots. Only conclusion for me is that Diop prefers right center back same as the general and Oggy is left footed which makes him a natural left center back.
I think Oggy being selected has more to do with our FBs than it does with our "best" CB pairing. His left footedness helps cover the marauding wingbacks Pelle likes to employ, while the rightfootedness of Diop, Rice and Noble amply cover the other wing.

i knda get that idea H, but last season Balbuena was immense with Diop, although in fairness this season oggy hasnt given anything away i dont think, just feel more confident with the General at the back...and judging by this thread confidence is not riding high amongst us hammers tonight! A bit like away at Brighton, wasnt disappointed with a draw, dont think i would be tonight either.

Pellegrini said he shouldn,t have played Balbuen against City because he came back late from Copa American cup. He has giving him a few weeks rest and is now ready to play.

It’s Manuel Pellegrini’s 66th birthday! “I want three points instead of the cake,” he says...could he have both tonight or will his candles fade and die...
