This "break"...

Post by Rick_Deckard » Mon Feb 10, 2020 9:10 am

I fear, will be the final nail in our coffin...we arent exactly looking sharp now, we will come back probably even further adrift with games in hand that we will need to win and we will be about as sharp as a runny fried egg..

I was thinking the opposite :D

Players returned from injury, only one league loss in over a month, time for Moyes to implement his tactics. It's the perfect time for a nice break.

Many of us are surmising this, surmising that. Will the break be good, will it be bad.

Ask yourselves this.

Should all the pieces fall into place.

Soucek and Bowen transform an awful side. Three teams manage to perform worse than us over the rest of the season. And somehow we escape by the skin of our teeth.

Much rejoicing at the ILS on the final day. The boats will be full of happy campers and the bars will run dry in celebration of a glorious season.

It will just vindicate Statler & Waldorf's philosophy of spending JUST enough to enjoy another season of Sky money.

In short, what will change ?

Not that I personally think the protest on the 29th will make much difference. They'll just dig themselves deeper into the bunker and line their pockets as before. But it's a day out so I'll be there. I've booked my hotel.

I laugh at relegation. I put ice cubes down the vest of Hull on a wet Tuesday.

Because at least it's something different to a Groundhog Day scenario of relegation battles. Although I accept another one in the Championship next season isn't that far-fetched.

I understand the dwarf is splashing out for the entire squad to spend a few days at Butlin's in Skegness.

TRADITION--Just because we've always done it like this doesn't mean it's not incredibly SILLY

I'm afraid that's been put on hold until we're safe.
However a 6 birth caravan in jaywick is definitely a goer.

I'd love a caravan trip in the UK. Been really missing UK grub lately.

Full English for Breakfast
Sausage rolls & pies for lunch
Scotch Eggs for snacks
Mad spicy Indian for dinner
