It`s where most of the East End went on their Summer Holiday's in the 1940's and 50's.

My Dad and Uncle took us for a break back in 1979.Me and my brother went to in the Amusements and noticed the penny push machine wasn't locked and emptied the contents into our pockets(the one`s half way down your trousers)..HAPPY DAYS ;)

Add the 60's and 70's to that......my gran used to take me every year for a week in Clacton......I can picture it now....playing on the beach in a swimsuit my gran had knitted for me.......when it got wet the crutch used to drop down to my ankles...and weighed a ton.....thank fuck for Speedo's..... ;)
