on the podcast yesterday , Gonzo and Geo criticised why the city game was being played in the mid winter break. I suspect this is sky sports doing as they wanted to get some mileage out of the money they paid for the fixture, enables them to put it against the champions league.
Nope, not at all. This explains it....

You have to love all the conspiracy theories and utter bollocks that’s bandied about though.

Yep

They managed to find a fixture after the end of the season when we played Man Utd in the last UP fixture. This is all a load of bollocks that they cant find a slot.

At the end of the day the game has to be played sometime. The words storm & teacup come to mind. It's a game in our present state there is no chance of us getting anything from. Imo we should stop bleating about it , bite the bullet and move on.

And you know what. I don't know if Sky had any input into the rearranged date and I honestly couldn't give one if they did. He who pays the piper and all that. But if City progress in the Champions League and the F A Cup there would be very few slots available between now and the end of the season I should imagine. So it was probably one of the few dates available.

TRADITION--Just because we've always done it like this doesn't mean it's not incredibly SILLY
