This bit stood out for me in that report.....

“ However, the match looked as normal as ever, with players not hesitant to engage in physical duels or getting close to each other in the moments before a corner kick. But after a goal, the players kept distance to celebrate.”
I know :)
Full contact, grappling etc but 2 metre distance celebrations.
Some of the distancing rules are probably just for show.
“Show”.... the irony of that word because from what I’ve read it was anything but.
And as Gonzo said in his video...... (paraphrasing) far from providing morale-boosting escapism, these sorry spectacles are just ramming home more depressing and visual reminders of COVID-19 than ever.
Yeah it’s all a bit ridiculous and pathetic really. Saw a couple of bits of German games and hardly gripping stuff. Wonder how the players felt about playing behind closed doors. I won’t be watching any after the short bits I saw this weekend.

A good read.

www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2020/ ... ncial-risk

Not for me - just following the usual Guardian line of having a pop at anyone with money

The Premier League clubs have further to fall and the job losses and financial impact will be much greater for those.

And the £1.5billion "reserve" in context - the annual salaries of the players combined for one season. Most of whom are on multi year contracts. That's just the players and not the infrastructure and support staff. Its a lot of money but in context would run out in less than a season.

Billionaire owners are billionaires for a reason - they dont waste their own money. Look at our wonderful owners earning plenty of interest on loans to West Ham (considering the base rate is 0.1%).

Yep season ended. Points per game used to finalise the league.

Expect to see that written up on C&H faster than you can say “och”.

West Ham offering credits for next season or your dough back in full for matches left this one.

It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.
