One touch line was completely open , no terracing nothing .

Like a Sunday league pitch over Barking Park .

Imagine Upton Park with the Rio stand missing and being replaced by 20 acres of grass .

It was nearly 50 years ago so my memory may not be razor sharp but the touch line (I think) would form part of the cricket boundary , though the 2 clubs never played at the same time for obvious reasons.

Do yo know what? It's actually a shame that my children won't see things like this. They will only know the Sky Sports/ Premier League package.

ok lets have a look at enfield i had the pleasure of going here once i was on a job and we drove past the ground i got our driver to pull over and lucky enough the gates was open so we had a wander in people say you have to go to a game for it to count i disagree as long as you get in to have a look it is good enough for me sadly another ground gone now
sure i have some photos i took on the day tucked away somewhere

as said befor if there is a ground you would like to see featured let me know or if you have any photos of grounds you have been to post it up on this thread it would be fantastis to have a look at them
