No Thanks.
There has got to be other options out there at a younger age.

Going for Defoe is a bit like we have been fielding our team, putting it out and plugging the leaks. Not saying I wouldn't take him but I doubt we would even be considering him had things been done right in the last TW.

I would have preferred to give the young ones more time pre this window giving a better perspective on our requirements other than a stop gap .

If we pay more than the £7 mil Bilic is reputedly considering then we are being robbed through our own desperation. Go for him but pay no more.

Agree with Mr Taans post, spot on,
Just had a look down the the sides in the PL,to see how many teams would take him on
I reckon Hull,Swansea maybe, and us,doesn't say much for ambition and forward thinking...
Plus if he comes and we play 2 up top,we have to forsake an attacking midfielder,
Payet,Lanzini,Antonio,chose one.
If he plays solo,be a waste of time Cress,Payet,Micky, slinging crosses in.
Like the guy, great player, but he's an eggs in one basket, relying on him to get you
out of the shit, like Sunderland are, is wrong....
We have some really promising strikers sat around,Bloody use them...

Question for you MK . Consider a one off situation and consider the way Bilic likes to play .
Forget age forget injury records and consider the fact that we can't/don't get the crosses in for Carroll in open play and how we play/played last season on the counter.
Who would you pick as the lone striker ?

Carroll or Defoe ?

With the Squad we have at the moment NM,making me pick between the 2
Carroll all day long.

But if I can say,AC doesn't start for me,it would be Sakho, but we have to totally forget
about him,so I would be starting Fletcher,Andy on bench,if no joy.
Martinez, also on bench occasionally for game time as and when.

Happy to see him come as a Squad player,be pretty happy with that TBH,but not
to come as some sort of saviour, first name on team sheet,we can and should be
doing better than that..

Oh I couldn't agree more mate on Defoe . But if you would start Sakho over Carroll then Defoe is the type of player we need .

I just hate the horrible little cunt.

I would have throttled him when he left us mate, never been so angry,
but heard him say some nice stuff about us since and think he is genuinely sorry for the way
things came across.

I think Saks still gives us a threat in the air, grabs quite a few with his head.

10 would be fair but to Moyes and Sunderland he's priceless.
