West Ham eye Slovakian star Patrik Hrosovsky a midfielder , can't really find that much out about him , though he was seen as a direct replacement for Aaron Mooy at Hudderfield .

Meh Bullshit. We can't sign anyone non English or Welsh over the age of 21 since we have no squad places left for non home grown players.

Rounding to the nearest whole numbers makes them pointless.

In fairness, Maja’s probably a bit better than a Hugill MkII, even though he’s playing for the biggest club in that division

16 goals already this season for a team drawing a lot of games, so not blowing teams away, and another three and a half months to play and he would cost less than half Hugill

Hugill has never hit anywhere like 16 in a whole season

Yes mate I take your point .

I was trying to be kind to all banging-em-in-in-the-lower-leagues-but-unlikely-to-cut-the-mustard-in-the-PL strikers.

Hugill not being a great example but still ...

No idea if this is bollocks or true. But as i said last week the FUTBOL rating signing this guy was very high at 8/10. The only sources that rate bollocks with low " likely to happen " ratings.

Claim West Ham signing to be completed in ‘matter of hours’, record sale for Spanish club

The official was asked specifically about West Ham’s interest in Maxi Gómez, and has claimed that they ‘would refer to the clause’ in that situation.

Now on Wednesday, local Celta outlet Galicia Press comes up with a story saying the Hammers are now pretty close to signing the player.

They say Gomez is ‘on his way to being the most expensive selling in Celta’s history’, and ‘the transfer is a matter of hours’, as ‘in England he’s been taken as signed’.

They just don’t make it clear if ‘in England’ means sources in England or the English press.

Still, according to Galicia Press’ sources, West Ham will be offering over €40m for the player, but won’t reach the amount of the release clause, which is €50m.

Galicia Press claims that despite the quotes from Miñambres about not selling the player, there are ‘many indications’ that the Uruguayan international is moving to London.

The outlet later refers to the amount as £40m, which is indeed over €40m and less than the release clause, so that makes sense.

The story is full of details about West Ham’s wish to sign Gomez and how Pellegrini plans to use him.
