Our home/away form

At home we are a bit average and only scored 12 out of 10. In away games, we scored 17 out of 13 which is the 8th highest behind top 5 plus Leicester and Watford.

I do hope we do better at home and start scoring but the problem-wise is that teams come to London Stadium with a bus park in front of our goalie, like WBA until they got tired out by a puncture of a tyre (tired).

I do hope West Ham start scoring at home and that we need to work on as we got the away games sorted and 4 away matches unbeaten including Spuds who later beat Everton which made me laugh too much.

I think Moyes’s current set up is suited to the counter attack which is the norm for away games.
At home the onus is on us to attack which does not suit his or the teams style of play.
Great result today considering we only had 30 something percent of possession, which in itself tells the story.

11 goals in our past 4 AWAY PL Games is not to be sniffed at.

Just got to try and be better at home tbh.

What it tells you is two things

1) possession does not win games
2) if you want to play tippy tappy from the back, your players have to be good enough to move the ball on fast a la City or Barca....Huddersfields are not.

They remind me of a poor Arsenal.....lots of passes but very few chances.. ...thats as boring as the long ball.

Perhap Moyes can do better in home formation or can use 5-3-1-1 like today....Time will tell and hope our home form get better and need to score more goals than conceding.

Before Premier League began,West Ham home games with more conceding goals than scoring was in 1931-32 (35 to 37), 1970-71 (28 to 30), 1988-89 (19 to 30) & 1991-92 (22 to 24) which is 4 times in 60 years!

However, since Premier League began: 1993-94 (26 to 31), 2002-03 (21 to 24), 2006-07 (24 to 26), 2010-11 (24 to 31), 2013-14 (25 to 26), 2016-17 (19 to 31) and so far this season 2017-18 (12 to 15). That is 7 times out of last 24 years which is shocking!! Need to do better.
