The London National Portrait Gallery will be exhibiting photos of our great Bobby from 27th February until the end of the year. Room 32, floor 1, free entry.
'The England football team won their first and only World Cup victory in 1966, defeating West Germany 4-2 in a tense final at Wembley Stadium. The now iconic image of England’s captain, Bobby Moore, lifting the Jules Rimet trophy cemented Moore as the poster boy of a golden period in English football.
This display celebrates Bobby Moore (1941-1993), a sporting icon who inspired a generation of football fans. Vintage press prints recently acquired by the National Portrait Gallery provide an insight into the professional and personal life of one of England’s best-loved sporting heroes.'
Looking forward to getting to see this
