Making memories (our latest project)

Post by redhammer » Sun Aug 05, 2018 6:21 pm

Last season I came across a family trying to raise money to get their son surgery for a cochlear implant to give him the chance to hear, which had been denied by the NHS.

What, I assume, majority of you won't know, is i am hard of hearing myself & wear hearing aids etc, so it stuck with me a bit that a baby wasn't going to be given the best chance of hearing. Anyway, we remained in touch with his parents as they tried to raised funds, had some good news with surgery and finally the surgery itself.

It still frustrated me that we couldn't help. So this summer, after a little encouragement from people, we have launched 'Making Memories' where we will try to give West Ham fans that are having a rough time, a memory.

So to start it off, we went to visit Hugo and his family in the summer and have created an online shop, any money raised is going into our fund plus created the wristband.

I think it is our most ambitious project yet and hopefully we can give 5 fans a memory next season.

Anyway, here is episode one with Hugo and his family. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Great stuff mate...well done for this.

These yes or no/Borderline decisions on treatments,the NHS have to deal with,seem really
unfair at times...this one seems particularly so,least got there in the end..

But again ,brilliant idea mate..

Land based game. Pass and move. Simple.
Want a launching? Try NASA or Firework night.
We're West Ham. It's what we want. Now and always. Amen.
