What, I assume, majority of you won't know, is i am hard of hearing myself & wear hearing aids etc, so it stuck with me a bit that a baby wasn't going to be given the best chance of hearing. Anyway, we remained in touch with his parents as they tried to raised funds, had some good news with surgery and finally the surgery itself.
It still frustrated me that we couldn't help. So this summer, after a little encouragement from people, we have launched 'Making Memories' where we will try to give West Ham fans that are having a rough time, a memory.
So to start it off, we went to visit Hugo and his family in the summer and have created an online shop, any money raised is going into our fund plus created the wristband.
I think it is our most ambitious project yet and hopefully we can give 5 fans a memory next season.
Anyway, here is episode one with Hugo and his family. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Well played geo, obviously something close to your heart and what a great project, sincerely hope this takes off and you/ we can raise big funds for those less fortunate than ourselves, happy to contribute what I can.
I’ll chat to you at the Bournemouth game, but just to let you know I’ve just booked a skydive for the beginning of October (am seriously petrified of heights )
Am sure there’s something I can offer in terms of donation/good cause
