For 4 million it seems a decent bit of business. He cost Arse 17.5 mill only two seasons ago and never got a chance there!
He must have done ok on his loan away from them last season,to be on our radar.
He looks more back up too Arnie and Chica to me!

Anyone who can score in 7 successive La Liga games can't be too shabby.......

Mind you Sakho scored in six on the trot for us in the PL ...
Sakho was in all fairness lucky to go on that streak. Had decent attributes but very limited technically

Or is signing Perez more competition for Chicharito?
No I think this guy is a back up striker, according to gooners I've spoke to he can play the role behind the striker but is best up top,so Snodgrass should get his chance at some stage this season....maybe.COYI

Great pedigree...

Will become the eighth Spaniard to play for West Ham United amongst whom were Kepa Blanco, Diego Tristan, Manuel Almunia, Alvaro Arbeloa .

Husillos ano gst other things said Perez really wanted to come here and also that his style is different from our currect strikers, which will give us options.

Good luck Lucas! Hope you prove to be a success!

Thought Martinez has been sent out on loan ?

Might be wrong and could of just been linked with going out on a season long loan , anyone else herd anything ?

I think you're getting confused with Haksabanovic who has just joined Malaga on a years loan mate.

Thought I'd seen he was linked with a move away , I know they are only quoting it as looking more likely today , but I did read that he was being touted for a loan before this ......

was surprised to see him come off at half time, sure he wasn't as involved as we would of liked but everyone was pretty poor in the attacking third for that first half

thought it was harsh of pellegrini to not give him another 15 in the 2nd half but looks like he was injured, check out this nasty pic, man, no wonder

Saw that today too, between him and Chica is wasn't clear who should be subbed after the first half, makes more sense now (there was another pic of his boot aswell all bloody at the top.

Mind we did look a lot more balance with Carroll. First half we kept putting crosses in that both chica and perez whould never get on the end of. If we play the chica/perez combo we need to play on the ground more (or the kind of crosses that got chica his goal against newcastle)

It was a toss-up who came off at half-time as it wasn't working although I didn't realise Perez had a bad cut.

The little artichoke doesn't thrive without a big bloke alongside him and 'wor Andy' helped the cause for no other reason than being big. I loved Chica's goal celebration btw.

With Arnie out we have to hope Carroll doesn't snap a fetlock.

It's not the principle. It's the money.

Lets hope Carrolls body can keep it together until we have some bodies back, dont wqnt to have to get another striker in when we already have 4-5 + silva
