You can see why we have the 7th highest wage bill in premiership. Our highest earner cannot get in the starting 11. We have long term injuries with players earning over 70 grand a week and we are contemplating taking Nasri who clearly is out of shape , which means he hasn't thought about his career lately lol. A fit and ready to play Nasri would be a steal at 80 grand but it looks like another Evra. Half a season . playing 3 times and making 2 million plus
I think we need to focus on a stand in right back in Jan, unless we put Rice there and get a decent holding Mid play in.
We play Saturday and Tuesday. 2 tough games against teams who will fight for everything. Can you see Zabby making it through that 2nd game?

I do feel for Pelle, the fact that he's even considering Nasri is a clear sign that he is lacking the players he needs to institute his style on this team and he's looking for cheap, alternative gambles to achieve it. No doubt that if he'd been able to work a full season thus far with Lanzini, Yarma and Wilshire, this kind of nonsense wouldn't even be necessary. It's also making it increasingly clear that the owners won't go any further in this market for real quality unless a loan or a fat underachieving bastard becomes available!

He might not be every ones ideal choice, and Pelle knows him so i doubt he would be too worried about his abilities. Take into consideration its silly season then its not too bad a deal. Short contract and on £80k PW. and a freebie. Besides he has still to satisfy Pelle so he will be putting his own head on the chopping block.

Can't disagree with that sentiment Joe. If he tanks it will have cost us a relatively small amount. But if he gets fit and plays anything like he did with Arsenal and City , under Pellegrini which is encouraging, he would be a bargain.

And I wonder how many of those saying we shouldn't take the gamble werwe among the stupid fucking saps singing Andy Carroll, we want you to stay, on 19th May 2013/

Just goes to show a record summer of spending doesn't make up for years of neglect and mismanagement.
Hard to blame Pellegrini since we've seen this before... We've got no money, FFP, the coffers are empty. Oh, hold on we've discovered just enough down the back of the dwarfs sofa to pay a has-been £80,000 a week for 6 months.

This has got Evra 2.0 written all over it.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

If he proves his fitness and his attitude passes Manuel's scrutiny then we should welcome his contribution.

Jack may or may not recover, but his impact thus far,has been a bit thin. He looked a bit slow chugging about the place and we don't need that in central midfield thank you very much
