West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Threads

Postby Taansend » Tue Nov 22, 2016 7:07 am

Yes THREADS!!!

This is for BOTH the League game on Sunday & the Cup game on Wednesday. They're both away at Old Trafford so why the fuck not?

First off, the good news. Slaven Bilic has NEVER lost a game as a manager in England to Jose Mourinho. Ever. In fact, he's never even drawn a game. It's a fucking 100% win rate.

Oh Yeah :OhYes:

I think this is true anyway.

Our win/loss rate against Man Utd is better than I thought. 43 wins, 62 losses & 29 draws.

Of course, we won the last game. The fantastic 3-2 win in our last game at Upton Park. I was in a place called Buffalo Wild Wings in Sarasota. They put it on the large screen for me. They have about 100 tvs around the place & we were on half of them. But the one I was watching on was about 12 feet across. The waitress had taken a shine to my accent. We were also on the loud speakers throughout the restaurant/bar. I had turned up hungover & (after the delay) was well & truly hammered by half time.

We've actually only lost 1 of the last 5 but 3 were draws. Before that last win we had only won ONE of the previous 19 games, the only over win in the last 9 years being that incredible 4-0 result in the LEAGUE CUP when Carlty & Speco (that's Jonathan Spector) got a brace each in 2010.

In that game I was in my then local in San Diego and was the only Hammer among about 50 Man Utd fans. Happy fucking days indeed :D

Under Mourinho they've had a really weird time. I'll admit I am not a fan of him. He is very smart but has a stifling cheating style (in my opinion) and since October they have a record of 3 wins 4 draws & 2 losses including a 4 nil spanking at Chelsea.

In today's world of instant gratification Mourinho is under pressure despite being 6th (although 6 points off a Champions League place) while Slaven Bilic is under pressure despite being only 12 games removed from out best ever Premier League season.

We used to be fans but now we're critics.

Now the big question is does Bilic play the same team in both games? Does he go strong in one or the other? I believe a lot of people would rather we try to go for it in the League & fuck the Cup but I think we have plenty of time in the League & should go for the Cup win.

I'm not going to pick a team or predict a result, ust yet, but I will say that I want us to beat them in the Cup rather than the League.

Up The Hammers.

I'd play Sakho and Randolph in both matches, if I were manager.

We would be mindful to remember we have three games in six days. Two with Man U and Arsenal at the London Stadium.

Those that see Sakho,Payet,Lanzini,Noble,Antonio,Cresswell,Kouyaté,playing in the EFL Cup game might be disappointed. Current situation dictates that the league gets priority.

Therefore our second string will play Man U's second string which will probably include Rooney,Lingard,Depay,Fellani etc and therefore the likely hood of a West Ham victory is some what lessened.

...unless of course we actually play our second string in the league, because as Taans cleverly points out, there is plenty of time to catch up later, then we might have a decent chance to win one out of two...

Manchester United Preview

Postby redhammer » Thu Nov 24, 2016 12:19 pm

I spoke with Gonzo & Scott about Sunday's game at Old Trafford.

On this episode we chat about out opponents where Gonzo claims they HAVE to win the title, Scott compares both sides to dairy products and I don't think Mark Noble should return to the starting line up.

Man Utd in transition...Has said by many United fans.

Don`t make me laugh.

They have ONLY spent £400 million on players in the past 3 seasons
