West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
Burnley sat behind the ball and made life difficult. We played well first half. Other than Randolph''s save I don't remember them hitting target. Winning builds confidence. I saw signs of that in the way moved the ball at times. We move on to Hull and look for another 3 points.

Have to agree, i thought Fletcher was very versatile against Arsenal. Andy looks like one of them Boxing Kangeroos you see on youtube that gets right up the nose of defenders and can dig a goal out from anywhere in that box. He will never beat a defender for speed 1 on 1. Would have been ideal for England in Euro's when they needed a kangeroo in that box kicking and jumping all over the oppositionWhiskyman wrote:I beg to differ good sir. From the little I've seen of Fletcher he is comfortable with the ball at his feet and a hell of a lot more mobile than Carroll. I've always considered Carroll a very good player in the air but extremely limited in other aspects of the game.Newmarket wrote: I think that until we get a "footballing" centre forward (or Sakho back) that's the way it's going to be so I think people had best start getting used to it .
And as promising as young Fletcher's future might seem , he is a junior version of AC .
Completely agree with you re Sakho.
