Venezuela

Post by BillyDWhizz » Fri Jan 25, 2019 6:55 pm

Keep an eye on things here - It's starting to heat up.

The US are basically (allegedly) trying to pull off a coup to get rid of a leftist leaning democratically elected government so that they can put in place their own right wing leaning matey boys. Funny that a country that has been blathering on since 2016 about election meddling are more than willing to ignore democracy when they chose to subvert it.

Next step...Russian involvement I betchya.

I wonder why the US would be so interested in a Latin American state with huge economic problems? What could Venezuela possibly have that the US would want? Hmmmm... ;)

Rounding to the nearest whole numbers makes them pointless.

It's Iran 2.0. In the west we love a dictator who lines our pockets. It's only when we're not making money that all that ghastly human rights nonsense becomes unpalatable.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Bit of a stretch to pin this one on the U.S. tbh. The country's economy has been poor for years with millions having left Venezuela in recent years.

Just more proof that Oil runs the world......

Prob here is it's a bit like gold.....we know where there's F.in tons of it but to dig it up,means
to much going around drops the value....screws everything up.

Seems like maybe similar with oil......don't want to much competition, price drops,so on...
Think it was the drop in oil prices couple years ago led to this shit, with a corrupt government,
the poor bastards are screwed.

They know it's there but don't want it yet...gotta bleed the middle east first...just trickle it out.
Big oil companies are fuckers...people bloody starving and dying here,I'm all for capitalism,
but this with the oil companies sucks..it's outta control.

But they def need intervention...and like it or not the only option really is the States...

Regime change coups and wars.

There's no chance in hell that this new guy can declare himself the new leader if the US/CIA didn't grant him their blessing. That's the case for all of the countries in North and South America. If you're not on America's side, your economy will collapse, you'll be deposed, you'll be plunged into civil war or you'll end up dead and dragged through the streets.
