Higher education.

Post by Neville Bartos » Thu May 02, 2019 2:18 am

Had to laugh at the differences in these two articles (links below).

The NUS responds to a report that Universities are failing young men thusly:
The NUS criticised the report, saying it had taken a complex issue and turned it into “a battle of the sexes”.

The self same group's response to a report that Universities are failing BAME students:
The NUS says campuses need a culture change to feel more inclusive.

It's worth bearing in mind that only 69% of male students achieve a 2.1 or higher, which is virtually the same figure given for BAME students.

And which is the most disadvantaged group when it comes to higher education?
Disadvantaged white boys are the least likely of all groups to go to university, with just 8.9% continuing their studies.

Lucky I'm not a conspiracy theorist or I might have thought there was some kind of agenda being played out.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.
