Poor quality, but only had my phone on me.

I walk by Concorde every day at work, and always look up at her. She’s still a pretty little thing.

Got this kestrel sat on a Cat machine by the nose.

The Paris crash was caused by Concorde’s tyre flicking up FOD from another plane, on take off. As it was flying directly to NY, it had been refuelled to the max.

The debris hit the underside fuel tank, but didn’t puncture the bodywork. It sent a shock wave through the fully laden fuel tank, which bounced back and exited at the newly made weakest point, spewing it out.

The hole in the tank showed as exploding out from the inside, due to the shockwave. May have been a different story if not fully fuelled?

I had a guided tour of the Bristol site last year.

The version they give is far different and more controversial.

All I'll say is the nature of the debris on the runway was different to the official statement according to the man who told me.

Pale started it... I'll let him tell the story unless he don't want to in which case I'll stick a link up that goes in to all sorts of depth about the whole episode.
