Two poor batting sides with Oz clear favourites on home soil. I think Starc will have us on toast.

It's not the principle. It's the money.

Yeah it's gonna be tough.
Especially with the red-necks at The Gabba.
Adelaide we have a decent chance I think.

Missing Stokes is huge for us,thought we could have edged it with him,but still think it's
a lot closer than people think, getting on top of Starc and Hazlewood early doors,is
obviously crucial.
Bookies have the Aus very short, well odds on...
I've just take us at 3/1 with a draw no bet..pretty decent I thought..
And same bet, same odds for the series..

Live in hope.. but nah think we can do something, better do bloody better than last time
Embarrassing..

Beat them in Rugby union already, beat them in the League next week, then nick the Ashes..
Happy Days... :D

I know Jimmy Anderson's had success there before but I can't see him being a big threat with the kookaburra ball. Broad's lost his zip and Jake Ball leaks runs. Neither team has a great spinner although Lyon is better than Moeen.

Stokes is a big loss.

Stilled pissed off with Stokes.Only our OWN country could deny us of OUR best player. The ECB should have made sure this was all sorted out.Would this have happened to a Aussie or any other player in world cricket?I very much doubt it.

Back to whats going to happen on the pitch. It really all depends how mentally strong this England Team is?They will defiantly miss Stokes in that department.A Botham type figure, whose the best all rounder in world cricket and psychologically strong. He will be so missed. If we stay strong mentally,we can win the Ashes,if we cave in,it could be disastrous. This Aussie team is not special at all,but we all know when England are in town, they are a 110% up for it.

Home soil and no Stokes makes them the favorites, but if England can avoid defeat in the first test,we can win it.
