I said previously that I think Alonso should go off and chase the Triple Crown. McLaren are looking to get into IndyCars so if he goes there with them they've still got him on their books which may provide a route back in the future if he achieves the Triple Crown quick enough.

Kimi to McLaren is an interesting one. McLaren have Lando Norris in the wings. Clearly a talent but now is not the right time for him to step up. Just look at Williams. If you're car is a dog you don't want two novices behind the wheel. As good as they may be at driving they're not going to be very helpful when it comes to developing.
Kimi on the other hand, he has years of experience and could be a good short-term solution. Help get the car up to speed, but as he won't be around for too long he will make way for Alonso to return or Norris to step up, by which time Vandoorne will have enough experience to lead the team.

As for Charles Leclerc, I think he will go to Ferrari. At the start of the season I was singing his praises, but he's done far better that I would have expected. The logical choice would have been to put him in a Haas for a year to gain more experience. But the way he's handled himself this year I really think he miss out that step. I'd love to see someone pushing Seb.
Remember how he handled Ricciardo. Or not!

I hope Charles Leclerc is like Daniel Ricciardo here, don't care and drive the pants off. Would love too see Vettel shoved off that top podium once again by a team mate !...

Seems Daniel Riccardo is pissed off at moment!... Red Bull appear to favour Max despite his cock ups!! :D

We let our drivers race fair, according to Christian?

Well done to Bottas, a track he loves... I'm sure Hamilton wants his team mate back in the points.
Good to see Vettel drop 3 grid places after blocking :D Yeh!!!......

Qualifying

1.Bottas
2.Hamilton
3.Vettel ....
drops 3 places and now starts 6th

Blimey 2 Mercedes retires  I am gob-smacked. Max Verstappen wins ...

On a positive note Vettel came 3rd and only has 1 point avantage over Hamilton. I bloody hope they sort Hamilton's car out for Silverstone as he normally does well there.

No surprise at all that Boullier has gone. And the fact that de Ferran has come in now, albeit in a different role, suggests that Boullier didn’t have much say in the matter.
‘Walk, and if you don’t walk you’re leaving anyway!’
I’ve got no knowledge at all about de Ferran soI’ll be watching that one with interest.
