I think this is the first time we have white washed the Aussies in any form of cricket? With the football team scoring 6 in the World Cup for the first time,it`s been quite a day.

HAPPY DAYS.

We did actually whitewash the Aussies 3-0 in 1886 in a 3 game ashes series. Closest we've been since was 1978-79 when we won 5 out of a 6 game series.

I hate it when people don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". There so stupid.

That's 7 on the spin against Australia now (6 ODI and 1 Twenty20). I wonder how many times that's happened?

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

I've watched the 1st hour. Yep, very interesting watching India score 400.

A team in transition is the kindest thing I can say. Broad in particular needs to be axed.....for good, and Jimmy Anderson is quickly coming to the end of his career. Who replaces them I don't know although Jamie Porter must be in with a shout. As for Rashid I think Ed Smith was brave to include him but whether he'll succeed or not remains to be seen. I'm not sure Sam Curran is worth his place either and when Woakes is fit I'm sure he'll be gone. Although him instead of Broad wouldn't be weakening the side.

i believe you're a Middlesex fan ? Well, with respect, Malan won't be a test player while he has a hole in his arsehole. And we have too many left-handers playing into Ashwin's hands anyway. No obvious replacements other than the previously tried, but James Vince imo should be given the rest of the series. Also, Buttler is confused as to his role. He's a one-day specialist. I'd sooner give Ben Foakes the gloves as one for the future and he's a big talent.

Lots of changes needed. Best get them done now.

Well Cook's had a good day. Can't catch and can't fucking bat now either. Ashwin will open the bowling and have him on toast. And Malan's droppped catch, equally simple, only cost 135 runs. I'd only pick Cook now for the 2nd test as we've had problems getting one opener after Strauss retired let alone two, but it's last chance saloon for him.

Curran proved me wrong but I did suggest he played now instead of Broad, and that's even more evident now. Noticeable that Root was happy to bowl Stokes into the ground rather than risk Broad.

Those two drops off consecutive balls, one of them Kohli, have handed India the match.

England should really be on top....India bit disappointing so far ,thought they were gonna
put us to the sword today but Kohli was their only real threat.....thought we would lose this series
but have a bit of hope now..
Stupid mistakes in 1st and some crap slip fielding....and god knows how many runs went
down to where a 3rd man should have been.....think it was Vaughn who was banging on about that...

Agree Malans not convincing.....and was worried for Curran, but done well tho,Anderson always
bowls well, but can't see him making all 5 tests, never know what Broad is gonna turn up,unplayable
sometimes,other times...well..

And yeah openers,to many times there's pressure on middle order to get the runs..
Cooks been Brilliant,up there with best I've seen...but maybe losing his edge now.

But looks like gonna be an exciting series.....thought we might have been in for a spanking
from these guys..
