The Gypo, the Heavyweight & the Nandos Chicken

Post by Taansend » Sat Aug 18, 2018 4:44 am

Deontay Wilder, owner of the WBC Heavyweight belt & a 40(39)-0 record, is in Belfast for the Tyson Fury fight on Carl Framptons undercard.

If Fury wins he's meant to be fighting Wilder in Vegas in November (I'm still dubious)

Meanwhile Billy Joe Saunders - WBO Middleweight Champ & gypsy friend of Fury goes into a Nandos in Belfast where Wilder is eating & lobs half a chicken at him before legging it out of the restaurant.

Chased by a couple of tumbling Wilder mates

Yeah. Deontay Wilder needs a gypsy throwing cooked chicken at him to drum up interest in a fight that hasn't been made yet.
A fight that's guaranteed to generate less than half the flat fee Wilder would've earnt facing Joshua.
Eddie Hearn will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Saunders is a middleweight, Wilder a Heavyweight.

What would be the point of throwing a chicken in a "staged set up"? They're never going to meet.

It's just Saunders being Saunders. He's definitely not all there.

Here's a much clearer but much less clear video

From what I've read Saunders called Wilder a "Racist Cunt" over comments Wilder made a few months back about Anthony Joshua being another black man being ripped off by a white man (Eddie Hearn).

The irony in all this is that Saunders isn't even with Hearn, he's with his rival Frank W@rren.

Also, Wilder has been making $1-$2million per fight while Joshua makes $20-$25million. Wilder has about 6 representatives all leaching (leeching?) off him. Joshua is very clued up with the money aspect of things.

Saunders lives with Kid Galahad while training in Sheffield & Galahad & Kell Brook both say Saunders is like a serial killer in his moods, intensity & weird jokes :D

Don't think it looks like Hearn wants that fight for Joshua, mate. That flat fee you mentioned? Wilder's team accepted that, then Hearn fucked them about a bit more by all accounts.

Can't blame him for stringing it out mind you, Joshua would make money fighting me in London, so why face a dangerous heavyweight like Wilder?

Not true Dave. Wilders team made an offer but didn't provide ANY details. They just said to Hearn & Joshua "Just sign the contract & we'll sort the rest out". That's not how you conduct a billion dollar fight negotiations.

Hearn has also offered Wilder a couple of flat fees to fight Dillian Whyte (Wilders No. 1 contender) which also went by the wayside.

I'm sure Wilder would take the fight but he doesn't have the most stable management team around him. One bloke says one thing while another says otherwise.

Also mate, many in the game consider Povetkin to be a better fighter than Wilder.
