Only 22 when died,and nearly everything we here was recorded in about 2 years...Amazing..

Timing I guess.

Looking at the charts before Buddy it was very adult oriented...Ballads,Novelties,Country.

Elvis was breaking through, but was a bit left field.

Guess Buddy was the first truly pop group to appeal to teenagers.Gained a monopoly.



Did your dad force you to wear those black glasses Tone?




Just 3 years earlier the no 2 spot on the UK top 12 was held for 5 weeks by a kid's choir singing a German Marching song called "The Happy Wanderer" :(


And we won the War ffs !
