My Old Man loved motor racing & shitloads of Sundays would see us down at Brands Hatch, picnic hamper & everything, about a dozen of the family & friends. I'd usually end up playing in the woods up at the back.

We even went up to Donnington for it's reopening (I think) around 1980 or so.

As a nipper I knew all the F1 champions as I had a lovely poster/chart on the wall. It was proper mad racing back then with crazy characters. Seems a bit more sterile now. Whether that's racings fault or just the intrusive media & judgmental population nowadays is up for discussion.

It's not F1 without Murray Walker!!! :D I'm still gutted at the loss of James Hunt. maybe it was the booze and
